Participants must adhere to the following technical and ethical guidelines for the duration of the event.
Core Event Guidelines
Team size: 2 to 4 students (all must be enrolled college students).
One vehicle per team; only one team member may control it during the race.
Vehicle must be entirely student-built; commercial/ready-made RC cars are NOT allowed.
Dimensions: L (30-40 cm), W (18-25 cm), Max Weight (3.0 kg).
Technical: Wheelbase (20-28 cm), Track Width (16-22 cm), Ground Clearance (2-6 cm).
Power: Wireless (RC) only. Max voltage: 24V. No AC power or charging inside the arena.
Batteries must be safe, leak-proof, properly insulated, and securely mounted.
Format: 2 vehicles race simultaneously for 5 minutes. Knockout system.
Scoring: Team with the least completion time wins. Tie-breaker: fewer hand touches.
Penalties: Hand touch (+5s), skipping obstacles (time penalty). DQ for rule violations, track damage, or unsafe vehicles.
Evaluation & scoring parameters
Violation of any of the above rules or any form of misconduct will result in immediate disqualification. The decision of the organizers and judges will be final and binding.
